The Château de Lacoste, originally from the 11th century and modified in the following centuries, is known for having been owned in the 18th century by the Marquis de Sade, a noble of the time famous for his libertinism.
The château is now in ruins.
Its main attraction is its elevated location, which offers a panoramic view of the surrounding valley. There are also a few sculptures on the grounds. Access to the exterior is free.
Entry to the interior of the château requires a fee.
