⚠️ For Options 1, 2, or 3, ensure that your phone is not “locked” by your mobile operator.
If your phone was purchased from a mobile operator with a plan, it may be “locked” to that provider, meaning it can only be used with their network unless unlocked.

Buy a physical French SIM card online to be delivered to your home address.

This physical SIM card can either replace your existing physical one or be used alongside it if your phone can accommodate 2 physical SIM cards simultaneously.
3. Physical French SIM card in France
Buy a physical French SIM card upon arrival in France:
- At airports or train stations in
– some Relay stores (photo)
– some Tourist Info Desks - In the city at
– some tobacco shops
– some supermarkets
These places are not open 24/7, but only during working hours.
Don’t expect as much choice as with Options 1 or 2.
And don’t count on the seller being knowledgeable about this topic or fluent in English.
A passport may be required for purchase.

4. Home Service Provider
Purchase a temporary international data and calls plan from your mobile operator.
Usually, this is the most expensive option.
And the internet connection strength may not be as good as with a French SIM card (digital or physical).

Rent a pocket Wi-Fi hotspot in France, with delivery to your tourist accommodation.
